Tea with Nana!

My mom came out for a quick visit last week-end.  I was still down with morning sickness, but starting to come out of it.  When the girls heard that Nana would be visiting they set to work right away planning a tea party.

They planned the menu of scones, tea sandwiches, fruit, raspberry lemonade and tea.  They pulled out and ironed the tea linens and Miss E even tied all of the napkins with beautiful bows.  They all worked to set the table.  It looked quite lovely.

Once it was all set up the girls even dressed up for our tea party.  The boys were invited to this party.  We all had a great time.  I'm so blessed to have such hard working, thoughtful, and capable girls.  They pulled this off with very little help from me, and blessed our whole family.  Good job girls!

stuck

Doesn't he look cute peering around the corner at all of the action happening in the kitchen?

What you can't tell is that he is actually stuck in the living room by his own choosing.  See those sweet bare feet?  He is not willing to step foot on the tile without at least socks on, he would prefer shoes as well.  At this particular moment he is waiting for daddy to return with his socks so that he can join the action.

Much better!

Children's museum

We visited the Children's Museum for the first time when Uncle C was here.  We had received a family membership for Christmas from Grandparents and had been looking forward to going.

Our first stop was the 4 and under room.  It was empty when we arrived so we let the older kids check it out quickly before we split up.  The little ones loved this room and would have stayed there much longer but there was a little kids story time/activity announced that sounded fun, we we went to check that out.

They loved hearing a story, playing with musical instruments, popping bubbles and doing a craft.

From there we moved on to the train room.  Mr. S loved figuring out how to start the train that ran around the ceiling.

The girls loved playing in the grocery store and making smoothies at the juice bar.

By the pictures it looks like everyone else had a great time there too.

We managed to meet up and hang out together a bit too.

We are looking forward to visiting the museum many more times in the coming year.

Easter morning fun

The kids were up and ready to hunt early yesterday morning.  Each had a goodie bag to find and we had 3 dozen eggs to find as well.  We let Mr. K start off the fun, while the others encouraged him.

Miss J and Miss C were good little finders.

Then we let the rest of them at it.

"Found it!"

Kids with the loot.

"Hey dad, this one's all crunchy."
