National Doughnut day- what did you have for breakfast?

*Be sure to enter my Lamplighter book giveaway!*
The kids have been asking me to make doughnuts for a while now, so I thought that National Doughnut day (first Friday of June) would be a good day to do that. I used the recipe from the Jeub's cook book, and doubled it (yes, I doubled a recipe from a cook-book written by a mom of over a dozen kids!).
I made frosted, chocolate covered, maple bars, boston cream, doughnut holes and even apple fritters!Miss C didn't quite know what to do with the doughnuts, she didn't want to get messy, so she just picked off all of the sprinkles!
Now we are all feeling sick from too much sugar at breakfast, no need to make doughnuts again until next year!
