By accounts of most in our society we should not have been looking forward to this birthday. Miss E turned 13 and Mr. K turned 2 this year! We have a teen and a two year old, and they are both such a joy!
Every year we take the kids on a birthday date (once they are old enough to notice). I take the boys out (or they take me?), and Rob takes the girls out. Miss E asked that this year we do a double date for the double birthday.
He thought it was so much fun to squeeze lemon onto his bread. He seemed to enjoy the flavor as well.
She wanted to go to The Cheesecake Factory. I was more than happy to get to go on this date!
We ordered four different kinds of cheesecake to share. We ended up taking almost all of it home to share with everyone else.
Miss E is becoming such a wonderful young woman, we are enjoying watching as God works in her to grow her into the woman he has planned for her to be. We are looking forward to sharing the coming years with her, helping her figure out God's plans for her. Mr. K is such a sweet, funny, neat/tidy, cuddly, thoughtful little boy. We are loving seeing his personality develop and getting to know him better as his communication skills improve.
